It is supposed to act by inhibiting squalene monooxygenase, thus blocking the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. CanTinea can be applied to the skin. Terbinafine is used to treat a variety of fungal skin infections such as ringworm, infections of the scalp, athlete’s foot, and jock itch and other fungal infections. This medication is also used in treatment of a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, forelegs or hind legs. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as antifungals. This medicine Side effect is Diarrhea or stomach upset may occur.
