Love Birds Stranded in a Collapsed Building in South Mumbai

Animal activists have urged civic authorities to rescue three to four caged lovebirds. These birds are still stranded in one of the flats in Bhanushali building located in South Mumbai. The building collapsed four days ago.

While speaking to the Times of India, animal activist, Chintan Adani stated that they can see the birds on the fourth floor of the building that collapsed last week. Due to the staircase being inaccessible, they have urged the municipal authorities to help rescue the birds.

He went on to state that several animal lovers have already approached the civic body and the Mumbai fire brigade. The officials explained that the rescue was difficult as most parts of the building are yet unstable and risky.

Former Union Minister and veteran animal activist Maneka Gandhi has supposedly also had a word with the civic officials.

A civic official from South Mumbai states that only the fire brigade can gauge the situation and find a way out as the partially standing building is very unstable.
