Are you thinking of ways to keep your pooch’s leashes organized? Instead of buying a dog leash holder you can DIY and add personalized touch to it. Apart from organizing your pooch’s leashes, you can add several other things on the board, for example, a jar full of treats or a jar with wipes or tissues.
Our furry ones need some motivation daily to go out for a walk, especially if you’re training your furry pup. Keeping a jar full of treats along with the leash holder can help you get your furry one easily out for a walk.
You can add a personalized effect to the holder and can also make the holder keeping your house décor in mind.
All you need to make this leash holder:
- 12″ x 12″ piece of wood
- Jar
- Treats
- Self-Adhesive hooks
- Hose clamp
- Hammer
- Picture Hanging kit
- Nails
- Flat-headed Screw-driver
- Adhesive letters
Follow the given instructions to make the leash holder:
Hammer two nails at the back of your wooden board to attach them. Take a piece of wire or a string from the picture hanging kit, wrap it around and across both the nails to create a hanging loop, it will help you hang the board on the wall.
Mark a spot to place the hose clamp and measure the hose clamp according to the jar to make sure it fits properly. Attach the hose clamp to the marked spot on the board with the help of a nail and a hammer.
After attaching the hose clamp, tie it around the jar. To tie the jar, you will need to twist the hose clamp around the jar and secure it with the help of a screwdriver. You might need a flat-head screwdriver in order to tie the neck of the jar in place.
Take self-adhesive hooks and mark a place on the board where you want to stick them. Stick the hooks according to the place marked.
You can now decorate the holder as you wish to. You can add your pooch’s name by using adhesive letters, stickers or different decorative items.
Mark a place on the wall and hammer a nail there. You can now hang your board and keep the leashes along with the treats organized in one place.
