As we say goodbye to the winter season, let’s welcome the summer months with a big smile! Like the season, we will have to make a few changes in our habits too. In the summer, we enjoy cold food items like ice creams, Greek yoghurt, and smoothies as it keeps our bodies cool. Similarly, our furry ones should also get cool treats to help them feel nice during these times!
Pupsicles are done to death. We also now know that Greek yoghurt is safe for dogs. But, can your dog have a smoothie?
Believe it or not, yes they can! It is the best way to keep their bodies cool during hot weather. While preparing smoothies, add fruits and vegetables that are safe and healthy for your furry baby. However, it must be fed in moderation. Excess of even a healthy food item can also cause harm to their digestive system. You must feed them various fruits and vegetables based on their dietary needs.
Many people mistake smoothies for a milkshake. The fun fact is that milkshakes are a blend of fruits, milk, with an ice cream base. Whereas, smoothies are made from a mixture of fruits, vegetables, but with a yoghurt base. The presence of yoghurt in smoothies acts as a thickener.
