Cats love to scratch over different things; it is their natural instinctive behaviour. They scratch in order to express their emotions such as excitement or stress. Cats have scent glands in their paws and hence they also scratch in order to mark an object with their scent.
Sometimes felines scratch over things to remove the dried dead part on their nails, to sharpen their claws, or sometimes to just have a good scratch. As a cat parent, it is your duty to provide your feline with different scratch pad options.
You can DIY a perfect round scratch pad for your furry baby. To give your furry baby a perfect scratch pad all you have to do is put all of those leftover cardboard boxes to use. Preparing a scratch pad from cardboard is the easiest DIY project that you can take up for your furry one.
