Every pet loves to be rewarded for their good behaviour! Treats are an effective way to teach your furry one what is right and what is not. Disciplining them with treats helps them to remember it in the long run.
While it is sweet to show your affection towards your feline with treats, it is equally important to moderate the quantities. Do not shower your furry one with too many treats. They should be given in restricted amounts.
It is possible for cats to develop a liking towards treats and avoid their food altogether. Rewarding them with treats once or twice a week is considered ideal. However, it is best to consult your vet regarding this as it is based upon your feline’s overall health and well-being.
Here’s a quick DIY Cat Treat recipe for your furry one:
¼ cup oats
1/3 cup green peas
1 can tuna (undrained water)
1 tbsp. parmesan
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients along with a dash of olive oil and mix until it forms a good paste. Now take a teaspoon or a circular object to make little balls. Once moulded into the shape, place it on a quarter plate. Now refrigerate for about two hours.
Each treat is one serving and should be given occasionally
